How Does BCH Car Finance Work?
Business Contract Hire is essentially a long-term rental agreement that gives your business access to brand-new vehicles without the capital outlay or depreciation risks of ownership. You pay fixed monthly rentals, and at the end of the contract, simply return the vehicles to us.

We work with you to understand your business requirements, from single executive cars to multi-vehicle fleets, and source the best possible solution.
2. Choose Your Vehicles Â
Select from our extensive range of new cars - including Fiat, Suzuki, Vauxhall, and Leapmotor models, all competitively priced for business customers.
3. Tailor Your Package Â
- Contract length (typically 24 to 48 months)

FAQs
- What's the minimum contract length for BCH?
Business Contract Hire agreements typically run from 24 to 48 months, with 36 months being the most popular choice. Shorter contracts offer more flexibility but higher monthly costs, while longer contracts reduce monthly payments but require a longer commitment. We'll help you find the optimal term for your business needs and vehicle replacement cycle.
- Can I terminate a BCH agreement early?
Early termination of your Business Contract Hire agreement is possible, but usually involves significant costs as you're committed to the full contract term.
However, we understand that life happens, and business needs change - we'll work with you to find solutions such as vehicle swaps, contract transfers, or finding the most cost-effective way to end early. It's always best to discuss your situation with us first.
- Who can drive the vehicles on BCH?
You can specify authorised drivers when setting up a Business Contract Hire vehicle agreement - typically, these are employees of your business. All drivers must meet the finance company's criteria (usually minimum age and a clean driving record).
Adding or removing drivers during the contract is usually possible with prior approval. To meet the lender’s criteria, your company car policies should clearly outline who can use vehicles.
- What happens if a vehicle is damaged or stolen?
You must maintain fully comprehensive insurance covering theft, fire, and accidental damage. If a vehicle is damaged, report it immediately and arrange authorised repairs. For theft or total loss, the insurance payout goes to the finance company to settle the outstanding liability. You'll need to continue rental payments until the insurance claim is settled.
- How do I handle routine maintenance and servicing?
Without a maintenance package, you're responsible for all servicing, repairs, and maintenance costs. With our maintenance package, we handle everything - simply call us to arrange services. All work is carried out by approved technicians using genuine parts, ensuring your vehicles remain reliable and under warranty throughout the contract.
- What are the mileage restrictions?
You'll agree on annual mileage limits when setting up your contract (typically 10,000 to 30,000 miles per year). Exceeding these limits incurs excess mileage charges, usually priced at around 5p to 20p per mile depending on the vehicle.
It's important to estimate realistic mileage, as under-declaring to get lower monthly payments can result in expensive charges later.
- Can I buy the vehicles at the end of the contract?
Business Contract Hire is a rental agreement, so there's typically no option to purchase the vehicles at the end. If you want the option to buy, a Business Contract Purchase (BCP) option might be more suitable. However, BCH keeps things simple - just return the vehicles and walk away, or start a new contract with newer models.
- How quickly can we get vehicles delivered?
For vehicles in stock, delivery can often be arranged within days. For factory orders, typical lead times are between 8 to 16 weeks, depending on the manufacturer and model specification.
We'll provide accurate delivery timescales when quoting and keep you updated throughout the order process. Urgent requirements can sometimes be accommodated through our stock or demonstrator vehicles.
